'I Will Never Forget' By philup)

So I think I've come to the decision to stop blogging.

At least for the time being.

So I guess I've more like decided to put it on hold for the time being. I don't take the time to do it oftentimes (and in many cases shouldn't, so that's good). And, also, my browser/computer is acting up and doesn't allow me to get on blogger weblogs, xanga weblogs, myspace, and some other sites as well.
That's actually mostly why I haven't been commenting on others blogs much at all (or even reading them for that much) - because I've had to do it at school or on someone else's 'puter or something like that. Just so you know. So I really actually do have a pretty good reason. I do miss being able to keep up w/everyone tho.
But, so, especially since I won't be at PU for the next like 8 months (thus certainly won't be able to get on their computers, tho at Deakin [the uni I'm attending in Australia for the uh... well, first semester back in the States] I'm sure I'll have computer access there), and since my mission trip 6 June to 3 July (or something like that) won't likely give me much time on the 'puter, I'll at least be unblogging 'til July.
And Maybe longer, really. I don't know.

If you guys (n' gals) want me to lie try and update and such while I'm in Aussie, let mw know. 'Cause if people actually want to hear some about me and shtuff, I'll prolly try and do that. But I won't know unless you tell me (by whatever means you feel like using).

Well, if you want, I'd certainly appreciate prayer as I finish up this semester in a few days, as I try to get together everything I need for going to Oz from June - Jan (or so), as I work and such, and things like that.
You could also just keep my family in prayer, and the church in McKinnon/Frankston, and the whole RPCA altogether.

I think I'm going to go now... and it may indeed be a little while 'fore I'm back. We'll see, I s'pose.

God Bless you all in the coming months! May you use them, especially your summers (for most of you will have more free time than usual this summer) to glorify Him!
-Al-

verse of the post:
Proverbs 26:3-12 -
3 A whip for the horse,
A bridle for the donkey,
And a rod for the fool's back.
4 Do not answer a fool according to his folly,
Lest you also be like him.
5 Answer a fool according to his folly,
Lest he be wise in his own eyes.
6 He who sends a message by the hand of a fool
Cuts off his own feet and drinks violence.
7 Like the legs of the lame that hang limp
Is a proverb in the mouth of fools.
8 Like one who binds a stone in a sling
Is he who gives honor to a fool.
9 Like a thorn that goes into the hand of a drunkard
Is a proverb in the mouth of fools.
10 The great God who formed everything
Gives the fool his hire and the transgressor his wages.
11 As a dog returns to his own vomit,
So a fool repeats his folly.
12 Do you see a man wise in his own eyes?
There is more hope for a fool than for him.

On Wednesday, April 5 at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00

in the morning, the time and date will be 01:02:03 04/05/06.

That won't ever happen again. At least not in this life time.

You may now return to your (normal?) life.

Isn't that cool?!? I like things like that... like, in 2011, on Nov. 11, at 11 minutes and 11 seconds after 11:00, the time and date will be 11:11:11 11/11/11 - :-) Someone should like get married right then or something... maybe propose would be easier. Or something.
Also, in the case that you miss the 1AM time that the aforementioned will happen, there's the 1PM time as well. Just soya know.

Btw, so I can't, for some reason, get to any xanga sites on my computer. So that includes mine, so I can't update or even get to it on here. Ummm... that's about it.

In Christ,
-Allen

verse of the post:
Isaiah 58:9b - 11: "If you take away the yoke from your midst,
The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness,
If you extend your soul to the hungry
And satisfy the afflicted soul,
Then your light shall dawn in the darkness,
And your darkness shall be as the noonday.
The Lord will guide you continually,
And satisfy your soul in drought,
And strengthen your bones;
You shall be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
"

I've been wanting to post this for a while, but just had not gotten around to it. I think this is a very neat job of picturing Christ's on the cross for us. It's not the Bible, but I think it is definitely something that is valuable to read. I would highly encourage you to read this. Maybe even read it through twice. Or more. And don't just scan over it - really read it, really think about what Christ went through for your sins. I hope that this passage does, as Joshua Harris said, "shock you and break your heart."

The face that Moses had begged to see – was to see – was slapped bloo'dy. The thorns that God had sent to curse the earth’s rebellion now twisted around his own brow…
On your back with you!’ One raises a mallet to sink in the spike. But the soldier’s heart must continue pumping as he readies the prisoner’s wrist. Someone must sustain the soldier’s life minute by minute, for no man has this power on his own. Who supplies breath to his lungs? Who gives energy to his cells? Who holds his molecules together? Only by the Son do ‘all things hold together’ (Col. 1: 17). The victim wills that the soldier will live on – he grants the warriors continued existence. The man swings.
As the mans swings, the Son recalls how he and the Father first designed the medial nerve of the human forearm – the sensations it would be capable of. The design proves flawless – the nerves perform exquisitely. ‘Up you go!’ They lift the cross. God is on display in his underwear and can scarcely breathe.
But these pains are a mere warm-up to his other and growing dread. He begins to feel a foreign sensation. Somewhere during this day an unearthly foul odour began to waft, not around his nose, but his heart. He feels dirty. Human wickedness starts to crawl upon his spotless being – the living excrement from our souls. The apple of his Father’s eye turns brown with rot.
His Father! He must face his Father like this!
From heaven the Father now rouses himself like a lion disturbed, shakes his mane, and roars against the shriveling remnant of a man hanging on a cross. Never has the Son seen the Father look at him so, never felt even the least of his hot breath. But he roar shakes the unseen world and darkens the visible sky. The Son does not recognize these eyes.
Son of Man! Why have you behaved so? You have cheated, lus'ted, stolen, gossiped – murde'red, envied, ha'ted, lied. You have cursed, robbed, overspent, overeaten – fornicated, disobeyed, embezzled, and blasphemed. Oh, the duties you have shirked, the children you have abandoned! Who has ever so ignored the poor, so played the coward, so belittled my name? Have you
ever held your razor tongue? What a self – righteous, pitiful drunk – you who molest young boys, peddle killer dru'gs, travel in cliques, and mock your parents. Who gave you the boldness to rig elections, foment revolutions, animals and worship dem'ons? Does the list never end! Splitting families, raping virgins, acting smugly, playing the pimp – buying politicians, practicing exhortation, filming po'rnography, accepting bribes. You have burned down building, perfected terr'orist tactics, founded false religions, traded in slaves – relishing each morsel and bragging about it all. I ha'te, loath these things in you! Disgust for everything about you consumes me! Can you not feel my wrath?’
Of course the Son is inn'ocent. HE is blamelessness itself. The Father knows this. But the divine pair have an agreement, and the unthinkable must now take place. Jesus will be treated as if personally responsible for every sin ever committed.
The Father watches as his heart’s treasure, the mirror image of himself, sinks drowning into raw, liquid sin. Jehovah’s stored rage against humankind from every century explodes in a single direction.
"Father! Father! Why have you forsaken me?!”
But heaven stops its ears. The Son stares up at the One who cannot, who will not, reach down or reply.
The Trinity had planned it. The Son endured it. The Spirit enabled him. The Father rejected the Son whom he loved. Jesus, the God-man from Nazareth, perished. The Father accepted his sacrifice for sin and was satisfied. The Great Rescue was accomplished.

...Now just think about what you read. Think about the reality of your sins what Christ took upon himself when He gave himself up to die on the cross. This passage really got me, and I hope that it got you as well.

Also, keep in mind that, if you are in Christ, you have been forgiven! Because of your sin, you deserved eternal damnation in Hell, but Christ took your sin upon Himself and now, if you trust in him as your Savior and the Lord of your life, you can look to Heaven and eternity with Him! Because of Christ's and resurection, we have hope! As Romans 8:1 states, "Therefore, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." If you believe in Jesus Christ, you have been forgiven of all of your sins. Rejoice and thank God for His amazing grace!

Well, I hope that you got something out of this post. Feel free to talk to me or leave me a comment or whatever about anything in here. Also, I read this passage in Joshua Harris' book, 'Boy Meets Gi'rl' (great book, by the way - all should definitely give it a read), but the passage up there is from the book 'When God Weeps' by Steven Estes and Joni Eareckson Tada, which I haven't read, but from the passage, I think it might be a book worth reading.

I hope that you all had an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving last week (I most certainly did)!

God Bless you all!
Edwin Allen H. B. II

quote of the post: "Imagine a world without hypothetical situations." ~Unknown (at least to me)

verse(s) of the post: "The LORD is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. He will not always strive with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor punished us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us." ~Psalm 103:8-12

P.S. Sorry for all the words with a ' in them - they are all cut out by my stupid computer.
